Competitor Intel

Competitor Intel: Know Every Competitor Your Customers Name, and Why

Your customers tell you who else they're considering, in chats, WhatsApp messages, emails and sales calls. ConnectLoop's Competitor Intel collects every one of those mentions, groups them by competitor, and gives you the customer's exact words with an AI summary of why that competitor comes up, where you win and where you lose.

No searching transcripts for names. The list is built for you.

Available on Growth, Scale and Enterprise plans · Chat, WhatsApp, email and sales calls

Customer quotes from chat, a sales call, WhatsApp and email that name competitors, flowing into a Competitor Intel list showing mentions, customers and channels for each competitor, with an AI summary of where you win and where you lose

The problem

Your Buyers Already Tell You Who You're Up Against

The information is there in every conversation. It just never makes it out of the transcript and into your pitch, your training or your product decisions.

  • Buried

    Mentions Hide in Transcripts

A competitor named in a chat on Monday and a call on Thursday never get connected. Nobody has time to read every conversation looking for names.

  • Guesswork

    Anecdotes Instead of a Pattern

“I think we keep losing to them on price” is a feeling, not a finding. Without the count and the quotes, it's hard to know which competitor really matters.

  • Repeat losses

    The Same Objection Wins Again

When nobody sees where deals are lost, the AI and the team keep giving the same answer to the same comparison, and keep losing to it.

How it works

How Does Competitor Intel Work?

Competitor Intel lists every competitor your customers mention, across every channel ConnectLoop handles, in three steps.

  • 01

    Customers Name a Competitor

In a website chat, a WhatsApp message, an email or a sales call, a customer mentions another company they're comparing you with.

  • 02

    You Press Refresh

ConnectLoop scans new conversations, emails and calls for competitor mentions and tells you how many new mentions it found.

  • 03

    The List Builds Itself

Mentions are grouped by competitor, with the exact quotes, the customers behind them, and an AI summary of where you win and lose.

Competitor details

What Do You See for Each Competitor?

Click a competitor to open its details panel. Every point links back to the customer's own words.

The eight parts of a competitor's details panel: AI summary, why they come up, what customers like, where we lose, where we win, who mentioned them, every mention with links to the source, and other names the competitor is also called

Where You Win, and Where You Lose

The AI summary pulls together why customers bring up each competitor, what they like about them, where you lose and where you win. If new mentions arrive after it was written, the panel tells you, and the summary is rebuilt on the next refresh.

Every Quote, One Click From the Source

See who mentioned the competitor and read every quote. Click Go to this mention or Open conversation to jump straight to the chat, email or call it came from, so you always have the full context.

Refresh and filters

Up to Date When You Want It

Competitor Intel updates only when you press Refresh. It doesn't scan in the background, so you stay in control of when the data changes.

  • Refresh on demand

  • See what's waiting

Next to the Refresh button: when the data was last refreshed, what was scanned and found, and how many new conversations and calls are waiting. Calls wait until their transcript is ready.

  • Nothing gets lost

Any conversations that fail to scan are retried automatically on the next refresh.

  • Your first scan

A new workspace shows “No scan yet”. Press Refresh to run the first scan.

Managing competitors

Keep the List Clean and Accurate

Customers spell names in different ways, and sometimes a name that comes up isn't a competitor at all. Three actions keep the list accurate.

The three actions for managing the competitor list and what each one does.
ActionWhat it does
Not a competitorHides the name and stops it being added again. Hidden names stay under the Hidden competitors filter.
RestoreBrings a hidden competitor back.
Merge into…Moves every mention and name of one competitor into another, for example when the same company was picked up under two spellings. A merge can't be undone.
Two spellings of the same competitor merged into one entry with all mentions combined and the other spelling listed under Also called, next to the Not a competitor and Restore actions
